November Meeting – Warwickshire Hearts

At our November meeting 22 ladies were shown how to give CPR and use a defibrillator by Tim Morris and Ryan Smith of Warwickshire Hearts.

The speakers explained how time is of the essence when someone goes into cardiac arrest.  Using a dummy they showed us how to look for signs of life and the steps to follow if there weren’t any.  This included a demonstration of CPR followed by how to use a defibrillator.  We were then all given the opportunity to practise on the dummies ourselves.

At the end of the meeting everyone took away with them a guide booklet on CPR and AED.

Everyone found it a very informative evening and came away more confident about using these potentially life saving techniques if ever the need arose.
